"content": "Shipping & Delivery Last updated: October 2026 Where we deliver We deliver across New Zealand. What it costs Express delivery is a flat $25. Orders of $75 or more are delivered free. The charge is shown at checkout before you pay, and it is charged as a delivery option rather than as a line item, so a discount code only ever reduces the price of the goods. How long it takes We dispatch within 2 working days. Delivery then takes up to 7 working days by tracked courier. Express orders are dispatched within 1 working day and delivered in 3 to 5 working days. Remote and rural addresses may take longer, and working days leave out weekends and public holidays. Screens are prepared to order rather than picked off a shelf, which is what takes the time. We will tell you if anything is going to run longer than that. Tracking Every order ships with tracking. You get a link by email as soon as your order leaves us. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder first, then contact us with your order number and we will resend it. If a parcel is late, lost or damaged Until the goods reach you, the risk is ours. If a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, contact us with your order number and we sort it out, either by replacing the order or refunding it. You do not need to chase the carrier yourself. Getting your address right Please check the delivery address before you pay. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong or nobody could take delivery, we will resend it, though a second delivery charge may apply.",

"summary": "15 days from delivery to change your mind on an uncut, unused item in its original packaging; you pay return postage. Free cancellation before dispatch. Faulty goods are put right under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Screens made to your measurements are outside the change-of-mind policy once we start making them.",
"content": "Refunds & Returns Last updated: October 2026 Our 15-day change-of-mind policy If you change your mind, you have 15 days from the day your order arrives to tell us. The item has to come back unused, in the condition you received it and in its original packaging, and you pay the cost of sending it back. When we have it, we refund what you paid for the goods to the card or PayPal account you used, or hold it as credit for a future order if you would rather. This is our own policy rather than something the law requires. Unrolling a screen and holding it up to the window to check the size is fine. Cutting the frame or the mesh is not, because it cannot then be sold again. Cancelling an order You can cancel any order before it is dispatched, and we refund it in full. Email us as soon as you can with your order number, because orders usually leave within 2 working days. Once an order has been dispatched it can no longer be cancelled, but the change-of-mind policy above still applies when it arrives. Your rights under New Zealand law New Zealand has no general cooling-off period for things bought online, so the change-of-mind policy above is a promise of ours rather than a legal right. Your legal rights are about the goods themselves, and they apply whatever our own policy says. Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 , goods we sell you must be of acceptable quality, fit for any particular purpose you told us about, and match their description. If they are not, you are entitled to a remedy. For a problem that can be put right, we repair it, replace the item or refund you. If the problem is serious, you can reject the goods and choose a refund or a replacement. These rights cannot be taken away by any term on this site. Screens made to your measurements A screen made to measurements you give us, for example through our quote service, is made for your window and cannot be sold to anyone else. Once we have started making it, it is outside the change-of-mind policy, and we say so on the quote form so you know before you order. That is different from a standard size you cut down yourself at home. Standard sizes keep the full 15 days until you cut them. If anything is wrong with a made-to-measure item, contact us. Faulty or incorrect goods are always put right, and this exclusion does not touch your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act. If something is faulty, damaged or missing If your order arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, or something is missing, tell us straight away and we will put it right at no cost to you, by replacing it or refunding it. We pay the return postage on faulty goods. If a parcel never arrives, let us know and we will chase it and replace or refund it. How to start a return Email theteam@customersupport.care with your order number and tell us whether you are changing your mind or reporting a fault. We reply with the return address and the next step. Please wait to hear from us before sending anything back, so your parcel does not go astray. Refund timing We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, to the payment method you used. Your bank or card issuer decides how quickly it then shows on your statement, which is usually a few working days. If we cannot agree We would much rather sort out a problem with you directly, so please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, you can take a claim to the Disputes Tribunal, and the Commerce Commission deals with complaints about misleading conduct under the Fair Trading Act 1986 . Consumer Protection (consumerprotection.govt.nz) explains your options.",

"content": "Privacy Policy Last updated: October 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Simple Screens (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, \"we\", \"us\" or \"our\") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit simplescreens.co.nz or buy from us. We handle your information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its information privacy principles. Who is responsible The organisation responsible for your information is Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, trading as Simple Screens. Our New Zealand address and our registered address are both in the footer of every page and on the About page. You can reach us about anything on this page, including a request to see what we hold, at theteam@customersupport.care . What we collect and why Order information. Your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and what you ordered. We need these to take payment, deliver your order and deal with returns. We never see or store your full card number: payments go through Stripe or PayPal, who handle the card data themselves. Enquiry information. What you send us through a contact or quote form, so that we can answer you. How the site is used. Google Analytics tells us which pages people read and where they stop. See the Cookie Policy for what is set and how to turn it off. Marketing emails. We only send these if you asked for them. Every one says who it is from and carries a working unsubscribe link, and we act on an unsubscribe within 5 working days, as the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 requires. How long we keep it Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep business records. Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted once the matter is closed and there is no longer a reason to keep them. Who we share it with Only the parties needed to get your order to you and to run the site: our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal), our email provider, our delivery partners, and our hosting and analytics providers. We do not sell your information. Some of these providers store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States and Europe. They do it on our behalf, and we stay responsible for your information while they hold it. Your rights You can ask us whether we hold personal information about you and to see it. If something is wrong, you can ask us to correct it. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time. To do any of that, email theteam@customersupport.care . We respond as soon as we reasonably can, and no later than 20 working days. If you are not satisfied with how we have dealt with you, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz . Security The site runs over HTTPS, payment pages are handled by our payment providers, and access to order information is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order. If a privacy breach ever put you at risk of serious harm, we would tell you and the Privacy Commissioner.",

"summary": "The terms that apply when you use the website and buy from Simple Screens.",
"content": "Terms & Conditions Last updated: October 2026 These Terms & Conditions govern your use of simplescreens.co.nz and any purchase you make from Simple Screens (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, \"we\", \"us\" or \"our\"). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. Our trading and registered addresses are in the footer of every page and on the About page. How a contract is formed The products shown on this site are an invitation to you to place an order, not a binding offer. Your order is the offer. A contract comes into being when we accept it, which we do by sending you an order confirmation email or by dispatching the goods, whichever happens first. Before you pay we show you the price, the delivery charge, the total and how delivery works. Prices and payment All prices are in New Zealand dollars. Delivery is shown before you pay: free on orders of $75 and over, and $25 for express delivery below that. Express delivery is also available as a paid upgrade on orders that already qualify for free delivery. Payment is taken at checkout by card through Stripe or through PayPal. We do not store your full card details. Where a product shows a previous price beside the current one, the previous price is the price this shop charged for that item before the current offer. If a price is obviously wrong, for example through a typing error, we will tell you before dispatch and you can confirm the corrected price or cancel at no cost. Delivery We deliver across New Zealand. Times, costs and what to do if a parcel goes missing are on the Shipping page. Cutting a screen to size Every standard screen is designed to be cut down at home to fit your own opening. Order the size above your measurement. Once you have cut a screen it cannot be returned as unwanted, though your rights over faulty goods are unaffected. Screens we make to your measurements are covered on the Refunds & Returns page. Changing your mind New Zealand has no general cooling-off period for buying goods online, so we give you one of our own: 15 days from delivery to change your mind on an uncut, unused item. The details are on the Refunds & Returns page. Faults and guarantees Goods we sell you must be of acceptable quality, fit for any particular purpose you told us about, and match their description. Those are guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 . Nothing in these terms limits them, or any other right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by agreement. Acceptable use Please do not misuse the site: no attempting to break into it, no scraping it for a competing catalogue, and no using it for anything unlawful. We may withdraw access if you do. Our liability Our liability is set out on the Limited Liability Indemnity page. Nothing there or here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act and the Fair Trading Act. Changes to these terms We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. Governing law and disputes These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. We would much rather settle any dispute with you directly, so please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, you can take a claim to the Disputes Tribunal, and the Commerce Commission deals with complaints about misleading conduct.",
