Need an offset screen opening? Start with a labelled drawing

“Put the opening on the left” sounds clear until someone looks at the doorway from the other side.

If you need an opening away from the centre, a simple drawing helps explain what you mean. The standard Simple Screens Magnetic Door Screen has magnets along the two centre edges. A different opening position needs to be discussed and confirmed for the selected product.

Start your drawing with a viewpoint: “Standing indoors, looking outside.”

Then add:

• The overall frame width and height.
• The surface where you intend to attach the screen.
• A line showing where you want the screen to open.
• The distance from that line to a named frame edge.
• Any handles or other features that affect access.

Use the same units throughout. If you also provide an outside view, label it separately so the two views cannot be confused.
