Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Simple Screens (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit simplescreens.co.nz or buy from us. We handle your information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its information privacy principles.

Who is responsible

The organisation responsible for your information is Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, trading as Simple Screens. Our New Zealand address and our registered address are both in the footer of every page and on the About page. You can reach us about anything on this page, including a request to see what we hold, at theteam@customersupport.care.

What we collect and why

Order information. Your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and what you ordered. We need these to take payment, deliver your order and deal with returns. We never see or store your full card number: payments go through Stripe or PayPal, who handle the card data themselves.

Enquiry information. What you send us through a contact or quote form, so that we can answer you.

How the site is used. Google Analytics tells us which pages people read and where they stop. See the Cookie Policy for what is set and how to turn it off.

Marketing emails. We only send these if you asked for them. Every one says who it is from and carries a working unsubscribe link, and we act on an unsubscribe within 5 working days, as the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 requires.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep business records. Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted once the matter is closed and there is no longer a reason to keep them.

Who we share it with

Only the parties needed to get your order to you and to run the site: our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal), our email provider, our delivery partners, and our hosting and analytics providers. We do not sell your information.

Some of these providers store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States and Europe. They do it on our behalf, and we stay responsible for your information while they hold it.

Your rights

You can ask us whether we hold personal information about you and to see it. If something is wrong, you can ask us to correct it. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

To do any of that, email theteam@customersupport.care. We respond as soon as we reasonably can, and no later than 20 working days.

If you are not satisfied with how we have dealt with you, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, payment pages are handled by our payment providers, and access to order information is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order. If a privacy breach ever put you at risk of serious harm, we would tell you and the Privacy Commissioner.
